How To Set Default Operating System In Startup For Dual Boot?

Hello friends!! In my last post, I explained about How To Remove Boot Entries In Windows?, Now I'm telling about setting default operating system in startup for dual boot. Follow these easy steps:

• Go to run> Type sysdm.cpl
• System Properties will open.
• Go to Advanced tab.
• Under Startup and Recovery, click on Settings.
• From here, you can select Default operating system & even you can change time to display list of operating systems.
  
  
  

Alternate Way: Download & install EasyBCD software from here. Under Edit Boot Menu, you can change default operating system.

How To Remove Boot Entries In Windows?

After uninstalling any operating system, you may want to remove it's entry from system startup too. Here's the way, how you can remove entry for uninstalled operating system, follow these steps:

• Download & install EasyBCD from here.
• Under Edit Boot Menu, you will see entries for each operating systems (installed/uninstalled).
• Select any entry, you wanna to remove & click on Delete.
  
  
  
• That's all, click on Save Settings for making changes.
  

Some Useful Tips For Increasing Computer Speed

Newbies (or the person who just use computer for entertainment) always remain busy with playing games in computer, watching movies, surfing internet etc without worrying about the system speed & after some interval of time just realize their system has been slow down. In this post, I will explain about some easy & effective ways to increase system speed. Follow these simple steps:

1. Disk Cleanup: Go to run (or press win key+r)> Type cleanmgr and delete all unnecessary files.
   
   Do once in 2-3 days.
2. Delete Temporary Files & Folders: Go to run (or press win key+r)> Type %temp% and delete all files.
   
   Do once in 2-3 days.
3. Defragmentation: Right click on any drive> Go to Properties> Tools tab> Choose Defragmentation.
   
   Do once in a week.
4. Delete Unnecessary Prefetch Files: Prefetch files are used by windows for fetching installed soft-wares at start time, but sometimes we do delete any unwanted software & then files related with that particular software become unnecessary, so it must be deleted.
   
   For it: Go to run (or press win key+r)> Type prefetch & delete unnecessary files.
   
   If you are in doubt about which files to delete, I recommend to delete all files in prefetch folder, as windows will generate necessary files at next startup of the system.
5. Remove Unwanted Application From Startup: Go to run (or press win key+r)> Type msconfig> Go to StartUp tab> Uncheck all unnecessary Startup items which start automatically on windows startup.
6. Make your operating system installed drive (mostly C) free as more as you can.
7. Last but not least, delete your browser cookies and caches.
   
   Do once in 7-10 days.

Following all above tips will surely increase your computer speed.

Note: Keep in mind to not use any third party tool or software like ccleaner as windows utility provides you all the facilities.

Tips To Recover Scratched CD

Here are some tips to recover from scratched CD:

• Spread a cloth on a flat surface and place the CD on it.
• Then, hold the disc with one hand, use the other to wipe the polish into the affected area with a soft cloth.
• Wait for it to dry and buff using short, brisk strokes along the scratch, not across it.
• A cloth sold to wipe spectacles or camera lenses will work super.
• When you can no longer see the scratch,, wash the disc with water and let it dry before playing.

1G

It depends on service provider what speed and frequency it adopts for its 3G network and what type of 3G compatible phone you have to fully exploit, utilize and enjoy the services.

Make Adobe Reader As Fast As Notepad

This trick will make Adobe Reader as fast as Notepad. Follow these steps:

• Go to the installation folder of acrobat reader (C:\ program files\ adobe\reader9.0) or (C:\program files\adobe\reader) whatever.


• Move all the files and folders from the “plug_ins” folder to the “Optional” folder. Also make sure that acrobat reader is not open else it will lock the files and not allow you to move the files.

The Reader may configure itself once again for the first time you open it. It will just restore the most important files back to “plug_ins” folder. Now your acrobat reader will load very fast.
